Non-Surgical Procedures

Surgical cosmetic facial enhancement and surgical facial rejuvenation procedures will provide more dramatic and lasting results; however, not everyone is ready or wants a surgical procedure. Whether it is a bump on the bridge of your nose, marionette lines at the corners of your mouth, crow’s feet when you smile, furrows between your eyebrows when you’re deep in thought, or a small chin detracting from your neckline and profile, Dr. Achih Chen, director of the Georgia Center for Facial Plastic Surgery, has many non-surgical options to address a broad spectrum of facial cosmetic concerns that you may have.

While the cosmetic result may be temporary, the biggest advantage of non-surgical cosmetic facial procedures is that they have little or no down time. This makes them ideal for that near last-minute cosmetic tweak before a big event or for those on the go with busy work or social schedules.

The most commonly performed non-surgical facial cosmetic procedures are neuromodulators and dermal fillers. Neuromodulators are one of the most commonly used injectables; there are many different brands available, and Dr. Chen uses the latest, most advanced neuromodulators. They are best known to be used for dynamic wrinkles – ones that occur when actively smiling, frowning, or animating your face.

There are too many brands available in dermal fillers to list. They are most commonly used to fill folds, such as the frown lines around the mouth and to make lips fuller.

While these are the best known uses of neuromodulators and dermal fillers, we, at the Georgia Center for Facial Plastic Surgery, are certain you will be surprised and delighted to learn of the much larger variety of facial cosmetic concerns that Dr. Achih Chen is able to address with neuromodulators and dermal fillers and other non-surgical facial cosmetic procedures.
