This is a patient who maintains a healthy lifestyle though regular exercise; however, she has found that while she is very fit, she has lost volume from her mid-face and cheek area resulting in a less youthful appearance. To restore lost volume in her face, she underwent a mid-face rejuvenation procedure, the Total VolumeLift™  that uses a specially designed implant placed by Augusta and Evans, GA area Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Achih H. Chen, also serving Aiken, SC. Aging of the mid-face results from volume loss rather than just sagging of the skin. The Total VolumeLift™ creates a natural appearing lift through restoring volume of the mid-face region to most closely restore the youthful fullness of a young face instead of a traditional mid-facelift. This is a very good example of an area of the face where pulling tight, as in the traditional Mid-Facelift, often creates an unnatural appearance. Before and after photos were taken 5 weeks apart (5 weeks post-op).
